So many great nuggets in here. Breaking into tech is simply more difficult now than it was when I started. DE is even more difficult, because it generally isn't an entry-level role. Most DEs I know have a broad range of experience or started at a big company that hires a lot of RCGs.

None of that matters if you don't like playing with data. What motivation will you have if data isn't interesting to you? Excellent article!
