Imagine having the audacity to ask for a salary range before investing your time with a recruiter. Wouldn’t it be much better to “hop on a call,” or “have a quick chat,” first? Then you would have much more information to make a decision. After all, a single company culture exchanges for ten eggs on the open market and three job impacts bring in six gallons of gas. It is surely worth your time to understand more about a job before declining based on salary alone. At least, that’s what William Carter would have you believe.
I recently came across this pure comedy gold written by William on LinkedIn. We’ve all seen the like, before. Helpful recruiter shares a nugget of wisdom to help job seekers. Job seekers do not find that advice useful. In fact, they find it offensive. Recruiter gets roasted over and over. The post has more than 800 comments as of this writing.
